How to clear a deleted sheet that show in Workload Schedule
Hi, I'm trying on a new Workload Tracking on Resource Management feature.
I've created a testing sheet with enabled "Workload Tracking" feature then deleted that sheet. But when I open a "Workload Tracking" feature, it still displayed deleted sheet and I've already delete forever that sheet.
How can i get rid of them ? ( Yellow Highlighted task in picture)
Thanks

To prevent these archived projects from showing on your workload schedule, make sure that you have clicked "turn off workload tracking" before deleting your sheet.
That said, I know our Product team was working on a fix where archived projects will be excluded from the Workload Tracking schedule view - can you check again today and see if these items are still appearing?
Thanks!
Genevieve

Hi @Genevieve_B
Just came across this because I am currently having this same issue. Is there any way to resolve this?
Thanks!

Thanks for reply!
As I checked today, archived and deleted projects are still appearing.

Hello @Genevieve P.
Just logged in to say, I am facing the same issue and there is no way as of 04 April to exclude deleted or archived projects from showing up in the workload schedule.

Hi @Jatupol iiXP and @internetstatic
Can you clarify if the names of the projects say (archived) at the end or not? The fix implemented was to filter out specifically archived projects from the Workload tracking schedule view. (This does not filter them out of the Resource Management schedule.)

I can confirm "deleted" projects still appear in the Workload tracking schedule view.

I'm also having this issue. I set up test worksheets, then deleted them once I was done with the testing phase, but they're still populating my workload tracking schedule.
I don't even see an "archive" option, let alone anywhere to retrieve sheets that have been deleted/archived to switch off workload tracking. Might be a good idea to have a pop-up alert do disable tracking BEFORE a sheet is deleted if it doesn't remove it from current scheduling views.

Yes, It sill appear and the name of project is not (archived) at then end.
As mentioned that I had deleted it from "Deleted Item".
Thanks.

I was in the same situation and here is how I fixed it:
- Recovered a deleted sheet as described in https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/2482403-recover-deleted-sheet
- Restored the sheet, opened it and turned off workload tracking for the sheet.
Hope this helps!

Only works when the sheet is not purged from the deleted items folder. In my case, the file is "gone". Don't know why "Workload tracking schedule view" still shows it.
@Genevieve P. - any idea when the product team will be able to fix it. I am really hesitant in getting a Resourcing license if my deleted files still show in and skew the resource load.
-
Yes you're correct, there currently isn't a way of retrieving the sheet to turn off workload tracking if it has been more than 30 days since the sheet was deleted. Excluding those tasks is something that the team is working on but no, I don't have an ETA and I don't believe it will be a quick-fix.
In the meantime, please let the Product team know about your use-case and how this is impacting your specific set-up by commenting on this announcement post. It would also be helpful if you created an Idea type of Post in the Smartsheet Product Feedback and Ideas topic here in the Community so that other members to vote on your request and add their own feedback as well!
Thanks,
Genevieve

Hi @Genevieve P. . I have disabled workload tracking on several sheets and also updated project settings to disable resource management on those sheets. I am still seeing those sheets show up in the Workload Schedule view for a sheet that does still have workload tracking enabled. Am I missing any steps to remove those sheets from the Workload Schedule view? Do I need to wait for those settings to apply?
-
@Genevieve P. we figured it out. It appears we disabled resource management BEFORE disabling the workload tracking feature. This appears to have left workload tracking enabled (with no way to see it was enabled, or to disable it, that we could see). When we re-enabled resource management, the workload tracking feature was immediately re-enabled. We then went ahead and first disabled the workload tracking feature and then resource management. This removed the sheets we wanted removed from the Workload Schedule view for the sheet we were using.

@Genevieve P. @internetstatic Is there a solution for purged sheets still showing in Resource Management? This is showing team members as over capacity because it's calculating deleted items, making it a manual process still to determine availability.
