Workload Tracking Features Now Available in Smartsheet

We are excited to introduce two new workload tracking features in Smartsheet for Licensed users with Business and Enterprise plans: the Workload Heatmap and Workload Schedule.

The Heatmap provides a visual snapshot of team availability, making task allocation straightforward. Meanwhile, the Schedule offers an expanded view that explains why someone may be overallocated and which other projects they are involved in. These features enable managers to efficiently manage and balance workloads, enhancing team performance and streamlining project execution.

Workload tracking can be accessed and enabled by clicking on the resource management icon located in the right rail of a sheet.

Be advised that if you have Resource Management, any time a user uses this feature, it adds the sheet into your resource management and the users as "Unmanaged" users. You'll need to set filters to see the portfolio projects you want to see.

  • Hi there, I'm facing the issue where I didnt know I had to disable tracking workload and disable resource management for a sheet and now I can still see the allocations even though the sheet is deleted and gone from the deleted folder. Is there any way we can sort this? do I create a new work space or will this keep doubling the allocations, do I have to reset all the sheets and delete every thing? like the work space? and the contacts?

    please help
