Timeline view and multi-value fields
Hello All,
I really like the Timeline view based on a start & end date but am hitting a wall trying to show a similar but slightly different perspective. I have a list of projects (each one row) and one of the fields is a multi-valued field of team members who are working on that effort.
Is there a way to get the project to appear for each person that appears in this field using Timeline view?
For example, Jane and John are assigned to project Happy. I would like to use the Timeline view to show John assigned to project Happy for the duration of the effort. Similarly, I would like to see another row for Jane for project Happy for the same duration. (Essentially, show the info for each person assigned to the project team)
This works for any grouping that is single valued but does not even appear as a choice if multi-valued.
Any thoughts or suggestions is much appreciated.
Thanks.

You answered your own question…

Well, OK if that is the way it works.
Any thoughts of a workaround? I can work it out in my head using SQL but obviously can't do that in Smartsheet.
Open to any thoughts or suggestions.
Thanks.

I hope you have figured this out by now, but just in case anyone else wonders. I just assign 2 rows to project "Happy" and then assign one person in each row.
