You now have access to Eliminate Legacy Admin Center Phase 1 & 2!
Hi Community,
We’re excited to announce that “Eliminate Legacy Admin Center Phase 1 & 2” is now generally available.
Phase 1: Previously, SysAdmins found themselves navigating through multiple locations to manage policies and Admin Settings. We identified 12 redundant policies and settings that existed in both the Legacy Admin Center and Admin Center. As an initial step toward our long-term goal of fully phasing out the Legacy Admin Center, we removed the following redundant elements from the Legacy Admin Center:
- User Management
- License Request Management
- Group Management
- Login History
- Account Settings - Images in Grid
- Account Settings - Web Content Widget
- Account Settings - Publish Options
- Account Settings - File Attachment
- Account Settings - Automation Permissions
- Account Settings - Account Discovery
- Security Controls - Group Membership
- Security Controls - Domains
Phase 2: Additionally, we added 3 new policies in the Admin Center and removed them from the legacy experience:
- Plan Level SSO
- Directory Integration
- Profile Visibility
You can now exclusively find these policies and settings in the Admin Center. In the future, we’ll migrate more policies away from the legacy Admin Center experience and eventually deprecate it (not a part of this release).
This change is available for SysAdmins in Business and above plans in the Commercial US and Commercial EU environment.

What if the former options are now not avaiable in the new admin center? I've got a ticket open, but seems like Smartsheet should have made sure this was working before gutting the old admin center.
-
Hi @Neil PGR , Can you let us know which option is missing from the new Admin center? Thanks!
-
@QuanT , wrong Neil :)
-
sorry @Neil Egsgard :). (updated my original message)
-
That would be the options listed in phase 2:
- Plan Level SSO
- Directory Integration
- Profile Visibility
The help articles very clearly state that these options are available for all system admins of all plans. This is not the case for our account.
-
Any updates? I've been told by Smartsheet support that, despite the support documents stating the contrary, these old options are no longer available to business customers. This isn't acceptable.
-
@QuanT , do you know of anything regarding this?
-
@Lekshmi Unnithan . Are you able to speak to this?
-
Hi @Neil PGR - we are currently investigating your support ticket with our Product Managers. There are plan-level restrictions for managing authentication options and the Directory Integration. However, Profile Visibility should be visible in the Admin Center. We're taking a look at this now, and we thank you for your patience while we investigate.

Profile visibility is there - I was just copying and pasting. Specifically, I am speaking to the authentication options that were located in the legacy admin center, where we were able to manage the OIDC-based AzureAD SSO option, as well as the Google and Apple options along with TOTP. I understand that the SAML-based option is an enterprise plan option. See this article for what I am refering to: https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/2483289-manage-authentication-options
We've made changes to that before, and those changes are still in effect in the case where I try to access one of our resources, I am only presented with TOTP and "Sign in with Microsoft" options - I disabled Apple and Google methods previsously.
All documentation states this should be available, but I am finding it is either outdated, or completely incorrect.
-
@Lekshmi Unnithan, I wanted to communicate an update to you, and I suggest you adjust your post accordingly. The documentation has been updated regarding this after my support ticket was pushed up the chain. The support team were seemingly baffled over how we were able to access these options previsoul (specifically, domain validation, and the capabilty to control the authentication options), because apparently, they were never supposed to be accessible for business subscription admins.
