I am not scared of medical catastrophes, because I have made that journey last year November 2nd. I was walking around with tremendous back pain for 5 months prior, and then paralysis, below L5 (Lower back) due to a condition labeled as Cudia Equina. I had to be carried out of my house put in an ambulance and had emergency surgery the next day. After surgery they asked me to move my feet, and it was a minimal ability, so I had to re-learn to walk. This was kind of a worst nightmare situation. But I worked hard, recovered quickly, (not fully) and I returned to work on January 2nd and had a flexible schedule and ability to work remotely, which helped significantly. I have continued to improve, and continually push every day to get better. Take aways are you are stronger than you think, your will is the strongest tool in your arsenal other than your positive attitude. When you couple the positive attitude, and your will you can exceed all expectations. and do things that are unexplainable. walking without a cane, or any assistance. Thanks be to God, He reminds us, even when we make our bed in hell He is with us. Ps 139, I truly understand that more now then ever. If you are going through a tough time, CRY OUT to God Even a loud HELP! God Answers. Some times the answers are gradual and a step at a time, we as project managers understand steps and order! :)

I am not scared of my "Destiny" because we create our Destiny by the paths we choose!
"The Road Not Taken" by Robert Frost
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.MARLANA KALINOWSKI

@Marlana K. I love this poem! What a lovely way to respond to the question.

@Rebeca S. Thank you! Robert Frost is one of my favorite poets. I was first introduced to his poetry in 6th grade when I read the book the "The Outsiders". To this day I can still recite "Nothing Gold Can Stay"

I just looked up "Nothing Gold Can Stay," and I think I'll have to pick up the book. Really curious to read some more of his work. Thanks for a great recommendation. 😊

Hello Community,
I am not scared of asking for help because I have learned that I will not know every detail in every situation. I have encountered that asking for help is not accepting defeat, rather an invitation for someone else to join your journey to success.
Thanks SmartSheet! 😊

I am not scared of what could be because I focus on what can be.
Sometimes I can get stuck and refuse to move forward because I focus on all the could bes of a situation or a problem. I have worked hard to reroute my focus on what can be done and being present in the now and the realistic actions. And all those could bes, I use for future problem-solving ideas.
