Rich Text formatting in cells

To make it more visual:
change the font color inside a cell: being able to select text inside a cell (or part of a cell) and change the font color, will make that text section stand out.
change the font type (bold, italic, underline, strikethrough) inside a cell: the font type can enhance a project by drawing attention to key words within a text/cell.
change the font size inside a cell: the font size can help differentiate between titles, headers, and body text inside a cell.
highlight text within a cell, and hyperlink specific text/font inside a cell

This would be a useful improvement!

For us, subscripts and superscripts are the most critical formatting additions.

These are both needed to convey chemical formulae properly.

They are also useful for footnotes, mathematical expressions, and various naming conventions.

It should be possible to insert bullet points into cells.

The available formatting in Grid view is extremely limited. I would love to have:

1) A custom color picker for text & cell backgrounds

2) A larger selection of font faces

3) More font sizes, including the in-betweens that for some reason aren't available (like 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 21-23, 25-27, etc.)

Absolutely agree, would also like to be able to change formats within the cell, so for instance be able to bold specific words within a cell.

In case anyone is collecting requirements from this thread, below is my wishlist for Rich Text edits within cells in sheets:

Hyperlinking multiple strings
- Eg. This thread is a part of Smartsheet Discussions.
Formatting:
- Bold,
- Italic,
- Underline,
- Strikethrough
- Text color
- Bullets

Would like to be able to format only specific text within a cell. For instance make certain words bold, add bullet points to only specific parts of the cell etc.

alling different fonts in the emails etc. plus bold, underline etc. standard formatting would be a HUGE improvement as we use Update Request emails a LOT

Would love this option! I am putting together instruction sheets on how to set up the PMO workspace so all users can do this and it would be so nice to bold, italicize, or change text color within a cell.

+1 for this feature request. People in my company are used to excel notes and when trying to get them onto smartsheets, they are leaving due to lack of this functionality
