That's right @isabonita you beat me to it 😀. When the Professional Cert releases, you may be interested in the courses that include Professional level training but no need for you to go through the Builder Path.

@Rhonda Keller, SmartU I was thrown off a little by the title - I was hoping that Smartsheet would offer a module that helps users "build their path" to the solution they want - something along the lines of an AI assistant that could help narrow down the choices in the solution center - or at the very least help them create a process flow with the elements that their solution should have (and make suggestions from the solution center, of course) What I have found, teaching smartsheet sessions at the state of Oregon for the past 7 years, is that users of all abilities could use help understanding the product if they had a visual representation of the solution, much like what each solution has in the templates. I always say "If you can dream it, we can build it but the dream drives the build" so I always start by documenting the process they want/need (usually with a whiteboard or visio type app) - I ask them questions about their audience and the desired user experience and the skill level of the owners and the desired functionality for automations….

Perhaps you could create a certification called "Solution Designer" or something like that….not only would it allow you to provide another certification path but it could be a recognized skill set that users could proudly display! I know I would 😎

@joey.w.razzano YES!!!! 100% you are describing part of what we'll teach in the Architect learning plan and validate through the Smartsheet Certified Architect credential releasing early next year. We're capturing best practices from our in-house Architects or "Solution Designers" but I'd love to hear more about your experience teaching Smartsheet and showing people how to turn dreams into designs. We're heads down on the Professional content right now but I made a note to DM you when we get into Architect to see if you have time to chat.

@joey.w.razzano You are exactly right. I've begun adding a "Solution Documentation" folder to workspaces once I complete a process which includes both written and visual documentation. I am also in the process of developing a standard template set for documentation so that I can train others in my department on how to do it.

When the new certifications release we'll stop offering the existing product-named certifications like Core App or Control Center.

Hi - I just logged in to SmartU to help a new licensed user navigate to Core App Self-Paced learning, and see this is going away on the 18th. How are new users going to receive their training now? It is pointing them to Builder Path or The Pass which are at an additional cost. Need clarification because this won't work for our teams.

Hi Darla, Core App Self-Paced is not going away. The note you saw may have been connected to the capstone exam at the end of Core App, we're replacing that with the Builder Certificate of Achievement test, but sounds like the wording is confusing. Thanks for raising this. I'll have a look with my team.
