Good afternoon,
I am currently configuring Smartsheet for the organisation and have implemented a multi-tier Blueprint solution within Control Center.
At a high level, the configuration includes two Blueprints:
- One Blueprint to provision Business Units (BUs), and
- A second Blueprint to provision Business Unit Projects.
Using Control Center, each BU is automatically provisioned within its own dedicated workspace, with projects being provisioned under their respective BU workspaces.
For each project, three core folders are created:
- Project Delivery – containing the project schedule and metadata sheet
- Financials – containing the Budget Inflows and Outflows sheets
- Governance – containing the project-level dashboard
In addition to the project dashboard, each BU is also provisioned with a BU portfolio-level dashboard, which is automatically created via Control Center.
There is one additional BU (e.g., BU X Company) that sits above all other BUs. This BU currently includes:
- Project-level dashboards
- A BU X Company portfolio-level dashboard
However, this BU also needs to include an organisational-level dashboard, as all BU-level projects ultimately roll up into BU X Company.
An Organisational Portfolio folder has already been created. I would appreciate guidance on how best to have this folder (and associated organisational-level dashboard) appear under the BU X Company folder structure, alongside the existing project-level and BU portfolio-level dashboards.
Any recommendations on the optimal Control Center or workspace configuration to achieve this would be greatly appreciated.
