Copy / Paste to e-mail, word, etc

Hello all,

Me and my colleagues are facing one problem while copying content from the smartsheet to an e-mail (outlook).

I've attached 2 ss where in the first picture you can see what I would like to copy and second picture where the content being pasted into the e-mail.

As you can see content loosing its border lines.

Is there a way to copy content to e-mails without loosing its shape/layout?

We would use option to send content directly from the smartsheet's report but there are no option to send multiple sheets information in one e-mail. Also, every time we send a new e-mail, we spending our time to remove specific columns which shouldn't appear in the e-mail.

It would be really great to get and option to create e-mailing presets.

    Hi Darius,

    To keep the borders, I would try to export to excel and copy from there.

    How do you select what to send? Depending on that, I think reports would be an excellent solution. If there isn't a pattern, you could add a checkbox column to the sheet(s) and base the report on when that is checked.

    Would that work?

    Hi Andree,

    Thank you for getting back so quickly.

    At the moment this is the only option to export sheet to excel and then copy as we want, but it takes time and not really comfortable when the sheet being updated every 5 minutes, that means every 5 mins we need to export sheet to excel.

    Report shows all required information of the projects from different hubs. This report being used by transportation team which copying one/couple/many projects (depending on situation) and sending it to 3rd party transport companies. Everyday there are around 30 projects being added to the report, not to mention about already existing projects which being updated.

    It wouldn't be an option to split report and make 2 reports instead, one for e-mailing another and one for viewing the projects, as it would complicate transportation team life when smartsheet actually should ease it :) Also, as I mentioned previously, smartsheet doesn't let you to send multiple lines from the report if they are from different sheets.

    Happy to help!

    Another option might be to use a third-party service like Zapier and copy the specific row to another sheet or excel or similar.

    Would that help/work?

    Hi Andree,

    It is not an option as well... 

    Is there a reason why it can't be copied? 

    Copying from google docs or excel works just fine, would be great to have this feature in smartsheet as well :)

    It has to have something to do with how Smartsheet works in the browser.

    I'd suggest sending an enhancement request.
