Send Row to another sheet (not via email)

I have multiple sheets with similar columns, and I'd like to be able to send rows between sheets easily. I know I can just cut and paste, but is it possible to make a button or other similar automation that moves the row from one sheet to another? The Send Row function looks close, but I can only find documentation on how to send it over email instead of to another sheet.

Added bonus would be if a prompt asked for additional information as part of the move (and fields in prompt would polulate columns found on sheet 2 but not on sheet 1).

Newish user, first time poster. Thanks for any ideas.

From the row menu, select "Move to another sheet..." which takes all attachments and comments as well. or "Copy to anohter sheet..." which does not bring attachments or comments.

Thanks Robin, that looks like the functionality that I'm looking for. Can tasks like this be automated, like with a macro and buttons/triggers?

You can also right click the row or multiple rows selected and then move or copy to another sheet. I find this is the easiest way to do it. The snag with copying is that the row is then a new separate instance. It is not a shadow copy of the original that you copied. If you want a separate independent row then that is fine, but if what you actually want is something that will reflect any changes you make on the original, then you need to think about either using cell links, or perhaps using a report instead.

Thanks Peter. My goal is to actually move the row so it no longer lives on sheet 1, so I will use the move function. Still hoping for automation but these suggestion are very helpful

Phil-- There isn't a way to automate this within Smartsheet, but I (and lots of other users) take advantage of a service called Zapier to move rows between sheets when certain conditions are met. Let me know if you decide to implement this and run into any issues!

Thanks Kenedy. I just signed up for Zapier, I'll give it a try

Does anyone know the permissions level it takes to Move Row to Another Sheet?  Seems one of our members is an Editor and was able to move the row as of a week or so ago.  Now he can't.
