Viewing Update Requests and Alerts

Is there any functionality in SmartSheet that will let me (the SmartSheet Owner) see what an Update Request or an Alert actually looks like to the end users.

I understand I could send a TEST out to myself and see the Update Request as is happens but I make changes to these standard request often and it would be nice to quickly review what the user will see, so I can make changes without sending one.

Unfortunately, it's not possible at the moment, but it's a great idea!

Hi Steve,

As Andrèe mentioned, there currently isn't a way to preview an alert before it's sent, but you could control what the recipient will see by choosing the columns you would like to display in the alert or update request.

To do this, you'll want to open the Advanced Options settings when creating or modifying an alert or action. If needed, more information on this can be found in our help article: https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/2476191-automate-your-work-alerts-actions
