Trouble with True-Up?
I'm just curious if anyone has gone through the True-Up process yet and experienced any of the issues that we are finding. We renewed in January under the new plan and our True Up is a couple weeks out.
I've been attempting to clean up our list of provisional members because it seems Smartsheet brought over every user who has ever been on our account over the past 7 years whether they are currently an employee or not, licensed or not, or even still on our account.
I have found users on the True Up page:
- Who haven't been on our account in years.
- Users who I remove access because they do not work here, only to find them back as provisional members the next day.
- Users who I downgrade to Viewer one day, who are back to Provisional Members the next and have not ever logged in.
- Users on the True Up page who are not found on the User Roles and Reports page
- etc……
I will do a clean-up one afternoon and get the true up close to our paid member amount and the next morning it is like the system just resets it all back to the way it was previously.
I've opened a case but I am curious if others have had similar issues and how did you resolve them? It is very frustrating.

Re: How long should it take for Smartsheet support to respond?
Happy to help!
Yes, and usually, it shouldn't take three weeks, but it could be now after the acquisition, so hopefully, it gets better soon.

Yes, I'd recommend sending another email/support case to get the information about who your contacts are.
(It's not available anywhere else)

Re: Plugin Error INVALID_DATA : failed to execute extension module : {"statusCode":400,"message":""}
There was a backend outage today, so maybe that was the issue? Hard to tell from “message:” heh. Maybe also check to make sure your references are all ok and nothing changed with the sheet. For example, if it was blank to start with it might have errored when your sheet search returned no results. If the logs aren’t loading, though, that usually means there was a lot of data in the return. Sorry- not sure what may be wrong here. You can try pointing the start of the workflow at a test sheet with a few rows on it only, to see if you can replicate the problem.

Smartsheet Outage Banner: Please add one to affected pages/Plugins
When Smartsheet has an outage, yes, we can check status.smartsheet.com to check the status. However, I think it would be helpful to users in smartsheet to know when an outage affects what they're working on.
For example, I spent a long time trying to fix a bridge error I was experiencing yesterday. Today the Bridge flow works. It was only broken due to an outage I didn't think to check.
Request: Please add an "outage" banner on each affected page that the user can dismiss, when an outage occurs.
Further examples:
- Core application outage: Place banner on top of page for any user working on a Workspace item or the browse menu.
- Bridge Outage: Place a banner on every Bridge page.
- Workflows Outage: ALSO place banner on top of page for any user working on a Workspace item or the browse menu, including Automations menu.
Most websites do this. I hope Smartsheet follows suit for the benefit of its users.

Re: Recipient not receiving workflow notifications
Over the past few weeks we have started receiving this same issue. The notification/automation permissions are set to Unrestricted and the email address is valid. The user has not unsubscribed from the notifications and the email recipient is not defined as a licensed or unlicensed user and they are not a Smartsheet contact. Just an email address within our domain and the column is a contact column (it would have to be in order to be available to the automation). This function operates successfully 99% of the time and then fails on selected email addresses for what appears to be no reason. This has been reported by multiple sheet creators across different Smartsheets so is not isolated to a given user/sheet. Any insights would be appreciated!

Re: If you have Bridge, what are you using it for?
@Joe Goetschel great thread to start as I too am keen to learn how people are using Bridge.
I am only just beginning to use Bridge, a few use cases below:
- Since Smartsheet has no inherent way to filter on a dashboard, we have connected Smartsheet to PowerBI and have built dashboards in PBI with filters, complex charts etc. These PBI dashboards are in turn embedded in a Smartsheet dashboard for consistency. However, there are times when team members want to click on a link in PBI and be taken to the appropriate Smartsheet row/item. So I use Bridge to add a row link when a row is created in Smartsheet. That row link is then pulled into PBI so that users can click on the link which opens Smartsheet.
- I have used Bridge for daily "Today" updates as per this Help article
- I use Bridge to update dropdown columns as per this Help article, although I switch between Bridge and Data Shuttle when doing this (I find the latter is quicker to set up)
- Using Bridge for Row Autosort as per this Help article
I am not a programmer and don't have much knowledge around API usage etc. so a lot of trial & error and internet searching!

Re: March Question of the Month - Join the conversation and receive a badge
One skill I'd like to improve in relation to health and Crohn's disease would be a deeper understanding of how diet and nutrition impact the disease. While I know that Crohn's disease is an inflammatory bowel condition, I would love to learn more about which specific foods and nutrients can help manage symptoms or even reduce flare-ups. There’s a lot of research out there, and understanding the nuanced relationship between food, the microbiome, and immune response in Crohn's could be incredibly helpful for those managing the condition.

Re: March Question of the Month - Join the conversation and receive a badge
Great question! The one skill I’d like to improve is the ability to be more understanding rather than always trying to be understood.
