Cell-linking from another sheet in the Predecessor column
Please enable the ability to use the cell-linking from another sheet in the Predecessor column. Importing dates from another sheet in a new row and then using them as a predecessor can disrupt the duration and critical path of the project. Thank you.
Re: Proofs available as file attachments in Dynamic View
I would love for someone in Dynamic View to be able to annotate and see proofs they have been invited to review. As of now, the only option they have is to follow a link from the email they were sent, and this can quickly get lost. Thank you!
Critical Path using a Start-to-Finish predecessor
This is a scenario for projects where the finish date of the last task is dependent on the start date of a task/milestone (most likely from another project). For example, if the project is to decommission an application then disabling the application (last task) cannot occur until the new application goes live (start date of a task/milestone from another project). This requires an SF relationship in the predecessor column of the last task.
In this case, the issue is that when using a Start-to-Finish (SF) relationship in the predecessor column, the critical path for the entire project disappears. The only rows on the critical path are the two rows referenced in the SF relationship (again, in a scenario where those two tasks are the last ones in the project). It would be helpful if the critical path leading up to the SF relationship was maintained. This would also apply to certain project scenarios where the SF relationship was in the middle of the project. Pro Desk evaluated this and suggested that I submit it as an idea. Thank you.
Re: COUNTIFS with Multiple acceptable values for each range
Same formula - just use the cross sheet reference to bring in those columns so it'll look like {Column A Range} or however you name it. I'd start with smaller OR statements just to confirm its working before you add all conditions.
New form submission appear on any row in a sheet
It would be nice instead of just the top of the sheet or bottom of the sheet to designate where a new form submission appears. Having the ability to pick a row to have the new submissions appear. Every new submission would then push all the current data down a row. i.e if I want a new form submission to come in to row 5, any data that is currently in rows 5,6, and 7, would now appear in rows 6,7, and 8 and the new request would appear in row 5.
Column Dependencies and Formula Auditing
I wish there was a way to select a column/ cell and see all formulas and automations that reference it. Similar to Excel's "Trace Dependents" and "Trace Precedents." This could all be part of a formula auditing tool that would let you see all formulas on a sheet and which column they are in.
INVALID COLUMN error in "Alert Someone" Automation
Our team uses template project folders to easily create each projects schedule and trackers. We use the "Save as New" functionality attaching all reports to the newly created folders.
Recently, after saving as new we are getting this "Unable to Run" notification for the automated notifications within our schedule. When checking the issue icon, it's referring to permissions.
However, when we open the automation and scroll down to where the message exists we're getting this INVALID COLUMN error in our message in place of all column names. This is causing major issues as our team isn't getting notifications for tasks. The current solve is manual to update once we create a new project from the template.
Any thoughts on why this error is occurring and how we might be able to fix it? Thanks!
Send Alert with Attachment but Without Link to Sheet
After a New Hire approves a contract (which include the contract as an attachment), I want to send a follow-up alert confirming they approved the contract and include the attachment again. I've received emails from New Hires saying they didn't download the contract before they clicked Approve in the approval request.
However, I see the only thing I can do is include a link to the sheet and select specific fields (including attachments). The New Hire is not in our organization and thus would not have a Smartsheet account let alone access to the sheet. It would be confusing for the New Hire to see a link to the sheet.
Is there a way to just include the attachment (like in an approval request) without including a link to the sheet as well?
Smartsheet Form <> DocuSign Integration: Transmit Uploaded Files
Currently, the Smartsheet <> DocuSign integration allows Smartsheet users to map a Smartsheet form to a DocuSign template for efficient e-signature workflows. However, while a user can upload files to a Smartsheet form, those uploaded files can't be transmitted to DocuSign via mapping / integration, meaning the e-signers aren't able to preview those uploaded files prior to e-signing. My idea is to enhance the integration to allow for files uploaded to a Smartsheet form to be transmitted to a mapped DocuSign template.
