Re: Report not pulling data from sheet when workspace is selected.
@Adam Costello Yes, that is scary that you may not be reporting properly. I've got a complex solution with a report pointing to a workspace that has 436 sheets. Haven't seen this like you have (yet).
This method is used in other solutions too that haven't experienced this glitch.
But I've had other weird glitches the last few months with sheets or reports not being accessible temporarily then coming back…

Re: New streamlined creation experience
"more intuitive environment where content consistently appears in logical locations" for whom? It certainly doesn't work for me, and apparently, many others. It's not up to you to decide how we organized our work; we need a product that trusts we are smart enough to know what we need and provides the flexibility to work in multiple ways.
Re: New streamlined creation experience
So, long time users had no issues and actually relied on the way "sheets" functioned, but a drastic change was made because new users found it confusing? Maybe the new users didn't have enough experience to realize the functionality of "sheets"?
We've waited months for some answers from Smartsheet and it seems like changing the name from "sheets" to something else could have been a useful first step in a comprehensive process to evaluate the issue and it would not have caused so much pain.
Add a button to open Browse/Workspaces explorer view
Am I alone in this or do other people wish there was a way to open the browse window without closing the current tab. (Don't get me started on the confusing and extremely unnecessary workspace Panel View)
Currently if I'm on a sheet/portal/workspace area and I want to find another sheet or reference, I click on browse and it closes the sheet or workspace I'm on and yanks me back out to the file explorer view.
I am constantly trying to find something, anything to open a new smartsheet window in a new tab so I can search for another file/sheet/space without losing where I was and being ripped away from where I was.
It's like, imagine I'm working on a word document and I want to reference an excel sheet, but I don't have it open. When I click on the finder or file explorer to search for it, everything I was working on closes out and deports me to closed windowville and I have to now re-open the word doc and find a way to open-in-new-window/tab the excel sheet.
I have a bookmark for this in my browser, but as the tech guy working with all the employees and trying to walk them through anything this gets exponentially more frustrating.
Dynamic View comments, @mentions, and notifications for users not shared to underlying sheet
When a user is shared to the Dynamic View but NOT the underlying sheet, @mentions in the Comments tab do not auto-populate and are rather useless. This makes no sense, as the purpose of Dynamic View is to prevent the need for sharing the underlying sheet and sensitive data. Communication should be able to be streamlined and self-contained within Dynamic View.
Yes, even if the user does not auto-populate as you type @, you could write the entire email address out and "successfully" tag them in the comment that way — but the email alerts for @mentions will have links to the source sheet and not the Dynamic View. As another user stated, this causes a lot of confusion and incorrect clicking of links/access requests.
I have already upvoted the Product Idea for this to be improved, but my question is —
Has anyone found a workaround for this in the meantime, which does not require sharing the underlying sheet?
Many other users have run into the same issue (see links below).

Re: Create Folder under Sheets Tab
I don't like it either. I don't see why they think it makes it more "streamlined". Totally messes up my system. Not happy.

One of the best communities I've seen is the community that I grew up in. We lived in a small town, and everyone helped everyone and had each other's backs as if we were all a big family. Got to love the small town vibe! :)

Re: Introduce yourself & get to know your peers!
Hello Smartsheet Community! My name is Jonathan Chapman and I'm an Implementation Specialist for a small retail company in Central Texas. I've been a "consumer" in the past 9 months of rolling the platform out for my company and I'm hoping to get more involved and help where I can. The community has impacted me so positively already through posts over time, so to contribute to something like that is exciting. The product itself has been a true game changer for my company and we're rapidly scaling up with myself as the main POC, a bit of pressure there! 😂
I have one certification (Core Product) down and am prepping for the system admin cert now. I find myself pointing most projects to Grid View where I automate as much as possible, so many cool functionalities! I am passionate about streamlining process for end users and overall increases in efficiency. Outside of work I stay involved in the local community and spend as much time with my little family as possible.
Thanks you, Smartsheet Community!

Great question! I've been part of so many great communities.
Personally, my church community has been a tremendous impact on my life, both near and far as I've lived all over. Getting involved at that local level and getting hands on to help serve local needs (food banks, domestic abuse shelters, etc) is a truly fulfilling endeavor. Not to mention all the people that are happy to drop everything to help in times of crisis, it's special!
Professionally, communities like this are so great because not only are the resources fantastic, but the people themselves are so willing to offer expertise and lend a helping hand. This is a place where I really sense that the only dumb question is the one not asked, and it's refreshing!

Toggle Charts
Create a toggle feature so I can switch between data sets on the same chart. I want to look at different behavioral trends by region so would be great if I could show overlapping data for all regions, and then compare EU and US on the same chart for instance.
