Re: New streamlined creation experience
The reality is, there are many other web based platforms that we all could use - and all of us chose Smartsheet for what I am sure were, at the time, excellent reasons. When I took over the HR team, they were largely utilizing Excel to house information. Due to the projects I was initially tasked with, we moved some initiatives to Airtable. The vast majority of our business is in industry specific software or Google.
One aspect of a "strong solution" is the ability to have many different types of end users who have their needs met - which includes not removing functionality. Some of the recent changes took away very basic abilities that, while your developers may not understand why they are needed, your customer base does understand.
I utilize Smartsheet for many different tracking mechanisms, metrics, dashboards, etc. I also use Smartsheet to house very simple spreadsheets where I just track manual data. I don't want to go out to Google for "x," into Excel for "y," OneDrive for "z." My team already has 10+ different sites they have to log into due to the state and industry we operate in. Having Smartsheet as a "one stop shop" for our team was imperative.
The changes that have taken place since the removal of the "search bar" have all been on a downhill trajectory. While the feedback may be "welcomed" I have not seen any changes or concessions made due to the feedback.
Being able to create a new grid, sort reports and grids into folders, and essentially utilize the program the way we saw fit were all of the "wins" in our book. I am hoping you hear us this time.
Re: New streamlined creation experience
This update is terrible and comes at a detriment to Smartsheet's customers, not a service. I'm not sure how much negative feedback they need to receive before they get the message, but I'm hoping this get's rolled back immediately and is soon just a bad memory.
I have been a huge proponent of Smartsheet in our organization (which is occasionally up for review) and this renders what was once a highly effective tool for our project managers, useless. If this isn't rolled back, we'll be forced to look for a solution elsewhere.

Alphabetized Filter Dropdowns
It would be helpful if the "is one of" dropdowns in filters were alphabetized instead of listed in the order of most used. For dropdowns that have many different options, it is hard for team members to find the option they need in a filter when it isn't alphabetized.
Example of Today
Red (52)
Green (43)
Yellow (28)
Blue (15)
Orange (9)
Purple (2)
Example of Ideal
Blue (15)
Green (43)
Orange (9)
Purple (2)
Red (52)
Yellow (28)
Re: What types of emails define a Guest?
@paulen domain is anything after the @ symbol so yes @gmail.com is going to be different than @yourcompany.com

Rename labels when using custom colours
I am using Symbols in my sheet for 'risk level' using the standard Red, Yellow & Green.
I then have a report showing how many/what percentage of risk we have per risk status above.
I have added the report as a widget into a dashboard and am using my companies branded colours in a donut chart, however the label of each colour still displays per the symbol on in the sheet per below screenshot, which looks rather confusing as you see 'Red' but its actually Blue.
Q: How can I update the labels to show as Blue & Grey rather then Red & Yellow.
I'd still like the sheet to display Red, Yellow & Green as these are the standard traffic light colours.
Re: I get and "#incorrect argument set" when I wrap my IF statement with IFERROR to replace the "#INVALI
Double check that you do not have too many closing parenthesis after "December". There should be 12.

Re: When an employee leaves
If you are the system admin for Smartsheet with your employer you can enter "User Management" at the homepage by clicking your profile picture. From there you will be given options to deactivate their license and transfer ownership of all their sheets. If you are not a system admin, you'll have to find someone who is and request they do this for you.

Re: Are you planning to upgrade to Jira v10 in the near future?
- We already upgraded.
Atlassian no longer support Jira 9 on security update. Our Smartsheet jira connect is broken. Please bring Smartsheet to Jira 10 as soon as possible.
