Happy 2024 to everyone in the Smartsheet Community. This year I hope to better find new ways to streamline and automate Smartsheets, Reporting and Dashboards so that there is little to no error or maintenance required. I hope to farm out more and train others on how to use the product so I can just be the creator and not the maintainer.

Activity Log - Export / Download Options
When an Activity Log is downloaded, the report notes the row where the change has occurred. However, if the Sheet's rows are resorted between the time of the report download and reviewing the report, you can not determine what row the change was made on. I would suggest that the Activity Log download would have an option to include a specified column that could be used to find the row again that is not dependent upon the row position. For example, the sheet I'm working on is dealing with over 500 rows, and each row has a unique site identifier number. If that Site ID column could be included in the Activity Log, I could better understand the changes made to the sheet. Also, when the Activity Log is downloaded, the report creates blank/disassociated rows (The columns "Action," "User," and "Time Stamp" appear on their own row and then the "Details" appear on rows under.). This makes the report hard to filter when viewing in Excel and requires manual shuffling/filling in of cells so the sort function of Excel can be utilized. I would suggest that each row of the Activity Log have all columns filled so that "Action," "User," and "Time Stamp" appear in line with the "Details" row.

this sounds interesting. Will this role type also be available for Smartsheet WorkApps? Currently, only an individual can own an App - which can make it frustrating to administer the App when that individual is away from the business.

My goal for 2024 is more work life balanceβοΈ. I put my heart β€οΈand soul into my job, my familyπ¨βπ¨βπ¦, and my friends. During my daysπ, I need to carve out more time for myself. I need to put away the electronics, decompress, scheduleβοΈ more time in each day for me. Read a bookπ, enjoy my hobbiesβοΈ, exerciseποΈββοΈ, eat wellπ, take more vacationsβοΈ and dance without a careπ€ΈββοΈ. Life will pass you by in a split second if you don't stop to "smell the rosesπΉ". During my work hours, I will refine my processes to make my day smoother and more automatedπ. Teach others how to use the toolsπ οΈ and spread the joy and ease their day. Baby stepsπΆ towards a more peaceful mix of giving and receiving pieces of me.
