Adding Google Drive Attachments Error: Troubleshooting Steps
Hey Community,
Our Support team has been alerted about an error received ("API developer token is invalid") when adding Google Drive attachments to a sheet.
This problem has been reported on multiple Google forums (see here and here) and has been attributed to either an issue with the browser’s cache, an ad blocking extension or anti-virus software (such as DuckDuckGo), or multiple Google accounts being signed in on the same browser.
If you're seeing this error, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try before reaching out to Smartsheet Support:
1) Confirm that you are signed out of all your Google accounts, then sign in with only one specific account.
2) Try another browser or a private browser (e.g. incognito mode in Chrome).
- If a private window of your current browser doesn't work, try disabling your browser extensions (see: Troubleshoot issues caused by browser extensions).
- If a private window or other browser does work, you may need to clear your browser cache to attach files from Drive without being in private mode.
3) If none of this has helped, try turning off ad blocking or anti-virus software.
Thank you!
Genevieve
