Adding attachments to a row with 2 forms

Is there any way a row with files in the attachments can be merged with a new form entry that also has an attachment. Currently I am using formulas to join the original row with the new form data but since forms cant add to existing row I cant figure out how to have both attachments on the single row. Is there any way to do this?

Unfortunately, it's not possible now, but it's an excellent idea!

Please submit this as a Product Feedback or Idea (If it hasn't been added already) when you have a moment.

Here's a possible workaround or workarounds

• Might be possible with the Smartsheet API.

Have you explored using an Update Request instead after the initial form?

Would that work/help?

I'm not familiar with APIs so probably wont go down that route, I have came up with a workaround it's not the best but works. Instead of having the attach file part on the second form I send an update request that just asks to attach the file as soon as the second form is completed, so formulas add the second forms data to the original row and then the update request adds the attachment to the same row
