Stacked column chart numbers are overlapping

Hi community,

I have this stacked column chart on a dashboard but some of the value labels in 2023, 2021, and 2020 are overlapping and difficult to read and there is no option to change the font size or position of the value labels. How can I make this more legible? I don't want to make the chart a different size.

Unfortunately the only way currently is to adjust the chart size or remove the labels entirely.

Dashboards are being reviewed as a whole this year - you can follow along and receive updates from this Product Idea thread: Dashboard Improvement

Commenting to share that I have this problem too-and I hate it. Short of making a chart the size of an 8.5x11 sheet of paper, numbers consistently overlap. Values labels within the chart should scale with the size of the chart. Period. Please don't ask the end-user to fiddle with chart sizes to find the "perfect" view to resolve this problem.

@Genevieve P. Thanks, I'll take a look at those posts now! Glad to know this is already being discussed and I look forward to seeing the dashboard improvements in the future!

@Genevieve P. We also need this to be fixed. It is preferred to have labels inside the bars for stacked bar charts, and options in general for series labels. We have a >10-stage process and are using the stacked bar chart to demonstrate % completion for each stage. In case it is helpful, we see label overlaps if a previous stage is 100% complete and subsequent stages are <50% complete. I am not able to expand the chart wider to minimize the overlaps due to the set dashboard width.

Also, I look forward to being notified of the coming improvements, but your Product Idea thread "Dashboard Improvement" link doesn't appear to work.
