Can a parent End Date be gotten from a second sheet?

Hello, I'm a new smartsheet user. I have a set of tasks - I know the start date, but I want to grab the end date from a separate sheet and have the task generate entries based on a 7d duration until the end date (gotten from the other sheet). I can't seem to do with a parent/child relationship. Is there another way to do it? The parent/child rolls up, not down. Thanks for your help!!

Can you share a screenshot of what you're trying to accomplish?

Are the end dates that you want to populate for the parents, or each sub-task?
