Currently Change Value converts any formula added to text.
Remove the " ' " to allow functioning formula to be automatically added

It would be a great adddition to add formula's to columns when a workflow is called.
This would be a great help when adding lines from forms etc....
Please advise if anyone has a work around for this.

If "add a formula" is not possible now, can you allow the "Change Value" feature to an existing column on the sheet? For example, use the Created Date column to automate another "Month" and "Year" column.

Yes this would be so helpful to our work - especially in reference to formulas that are almost a column formula but with a few exceptions.
I'm putting in my vote to have this feature added too. This is a limitation that is inhibiting my automation of complex sheets and project plans.

Just following up on this thread. I too would love to have the function to an automation to add a formula to a cell based on something changing.
This idea would be a huge change for the better and bring Smartsheet closer in line to competitors in terms of functionality. While we don't have a datetime field, being able to record calculated values that were triggered by automations allow for time stamps, recording who submitted information to a certain field (and keeping the name static), etc.
