Reference Comment in Formulas

Please add functionality to address comments via formula, such as =countif([Comments]@row, "No Change") to simply count how often in a row a project is listed as "No Change" or how often something is commented on with =count([Comments]@row). This would add functionality for tracking KPIs and Leading Indicators which is currently missing.

Thanks for posting your idea!

In the meantime, have you checked out the Latest Comment Column you can add to your sheet? This will display the last comment added to a row in a cell in a column, meaning you can then use a COUNTIF function on that column.

This would only work on the most recent comment in each column without exponentially multiplying data in helper sheets or writing rediculously long workflows with compounding conditions.

You could copy the comment to another sheet automatically with a copy row workflow and then use cross-sheet formulas to count how many or similar.

Yes, thank you I am familiar with this workaround as we had discussed it last week.

This causes an exponential and irresponsible replication of data and is not appropriate to the situation, we would be over 1000 lines in less than 2 weeks for our fast-turn projects.
