Allow Parent rows in report

I know there are a bunch of work arounds for this, but life would be easier if you add the Include parent row when filtering. This is already a wonderful feature on a grid sheet filter so why not add to the reporting filters.

But I am curious about the workarounds, Ken. I generally create a hidden column in my sheet that shows the parent task and then expose that on the report. Are there better ways?
