There is one improvement requested:
Formatting the number field in the form as a currency with international currencies included
I have had a similar request in my organization for intake forms. Users have expressed interest in seeing entries as $100,000 instead of 100000.
Great, I have the same question on the form side the currency fields present raw numbers to the user as above - 100000. It would be great to have them displayed to the user as $100,000. If numbers get above three digits or so, it becomes more prone to posting errors. - Thanks
On forms, it would be extremely helpful to either have a validation of currency (allowing you to change the currency symbol) and decimal places for when the form is being filled out. If you have a budget column for large projects, and when the amount is in the millions, it is difficult for the person submitting the form to see if they put in the correct value.
Displaying currency and number formatting directly in Smartsheet forms, including dollar symbols, decimal precision, and thousands separators, is critical for reducing input errors and improving user confidence during data entry. When users see values in a familiar format such as $125,000.00 instead of 125000, they can much more easily confirm they entered the correct amount and avoid common mistakes like missing zeros, misplaced decimals, or transposed digits. This is especially important for budgets, contract values, forecasts, and change order amounts where even a small entry mistake can materially affect downstream reporting, approvals, and automated workflows. Clear numeric formatting also improves usability, reduces the need for rework and manual validation, and helps forms feel more professional and trustworthy for end users.
I agree 1,000%. This need is very common and should be here already for all of the reasons clearly state (i.e. budget, approvals, contract values, forecasts, change orders, etc.)
Please, Smartsheet, please bring the formatting from the cell in the sheet into the form, or at least a toggle that allows you to choose to do so!
