Add Work Insights to Dashboards

I am trying to add summary charts to a dashboard, however it requires numerical values which are impossible to add for what I am trying to show in the chart. Excel can easily create a variety of charts to show me how many cells in a column show specific data, and the Work Insight in Smartsheet also shows me the data in the format I want to display it in the dashboard. If it is impossible for charts to be created in the dashboard that just summarize the data in specific columns, then there should be a way to add the Work Insight boxes. Thanks!

I love Work Insights and it would be great if selected Insights could be added to a dashboard.

I second this request. A widget to add a work insight graph/chart would save a lot of steps. I currently have to re-create the information in a report/

I've been making myself crazy trying to find a way to add Work Insights to a dashboard. The Work Insights are displaying exactly what I am trying to display - charts showing results from a survey with drop-down text answers. I honestly can't find a way to reproduce them.

I would like to not have to re-create the wheel when building a dashboard. The Work Insights are easy to adjust but are hard to reproduce by hand. I want to use Work Insights as a widget in the dashboard since the data is already in a Smartsheet. And these Work Insights can be live updates in a dashboard, as the rows are updated or added to the Smartsheet.

Just discovered work insights as I was developing a dashboard that displays volumes and status of data report requests we intake via a SmartSheet form. The Time Series work insight widget is exactly what I am trying to create in the dashboard that is plug and play. I love that you switch between months, weeks and days. None of that is possible in the dashboard. Real time filtering in the insights is also a huge functionality advantage over the dashboard. Please make the insights widgets available in dashboards. Thank you!

Yes, I love work insights. The information displayed is exactly what I want on my dashboard. I wish there was a way to export this to the dashboard or even print a screenshot of the charts. I hope that SmartSheet will consider this enhancement soon.

We’re excited to announce that we’re kicking off a Private Beta Program for adding Work Insights to dashboards this month! In the program, participating customers will be able to display their Work Insights on dashboards, and directly share their feedback with the Smartsheet Product team. 

If you’d like to participate, please let us know by filling out this form! This Beta is only available to Enterprise customers, and the Work Insights Widget on dashboards will not be available on Mobile. You will receive an email if you are selected to participate.

I'd like to Display/Link/insert my Work Insights graphs from my sheet into my Dashboard(s). This would eliminate having to create a metric sheet to feed data and build new graph for a Dashboard.

Work Insight graphs are great when the team is reviewing one sheet, however, when we're presenting a program review using a dashboard, we have to recreate the same graph via a metric sheet to feed the dashboard graphs.

Being able to easily link/show the Work Insights graphs on a Dashboard would not only save a lot of time by eliminating the manual calcs/formulas for a metric sheet, it also would save maintenance time to update metric sheets. Example: If I'm showing # of tasks by employee, and I add an employee to the sheet, Work Insights automatically shows the new employee's bar. If using a metric sheet, I need to add the person to the metric sheet and formulas.
