Identify Workflow from ID?
Good morning, got a random one. Is there any way to identify what sheet or workflow an automation ran from? I got a rogue automation this morning, and I don't know what sheet it lives in. However, I noticed at the bottom of the email, there is an ID number, similar to a sheet or row ID. Is there any way, maybe with the API, to identify this workflow and see where it came from?

Yeah. That does sound like it could take awhile. Haha. And if you knew the sheet I'd, you'd be able to just jump to it in SS instead of needing the api.
Maybe a product enhancement request to expand the workflow portion of the api to include the sheet id is in order.

Hi @Samuel Mueller,
To add to Paul’s input, I believe contacting the Support team through the customer support portal and providing the workflow ID is the easiest way to get assistance with locating the sheet.

There may be a way to do it through the API, but looking at the documentation it doesn't seem to be super straight forward.
Basically you can get a list of sheets through the API, and you can also get a list of automations (including ID) through the API.
I imagine that since that is the case, you should be able to generate a list of all automations with their sheets (maybe creating a list in SS somewhere).
Edit To Update:
You can also delete an automation through the API as long as you have the workflow ID as well as the sheet ID.

@Paul Newcome yeah that's what I was looking at too, but I don't know what sheet it came from and we have over 10000 sheets it would take a long time to loop through them.
Was hoping I was missing something and there would be a call like Get Workflow and have it tell me what sheet it came from 😂.
