The ability to format cell borders like we do in Microsoft Excel is a miss if you want us to believe smartsheet is easier and faster to learn and use than MS Excel. If it wasn't for google search - i would not have known. Is this feature on the roadmap for 2023 or 2024 or when? Thanks!

I am wonderingĀ if Smartsheet can make the borders of cells stand out more when using dark-fill colours for cells that are selected. Its hard to delineate between the data.

The request to make it possible to put borders around cells is nearly a year old. This would be a most helpful feature.
I agree - we need cell boarders. It seems that these comments seem to be ignored. We have been asking for this feature along with adding a custom color palette to the reports for over a year. What is the timeline for these enhancements.
We are considering an alternate program due to lack of response to seemingly modest requests.
I'm currently looking into Smartsheet as a replacement for our last program. As simple as something like cell borders is, this could LITERALLY be a dealbreaker for us signing up. I see requests for it spanning years in the help section with no response. Hmmmmm......
Would like a way to add cell borders to my sheets in SS. Would also like control options like in Excel to control each border individually, and with different formatting, like single lines around all cells and double lines around cells that have totals.
Anything new happening with this request? I agree that this feature is well overdue.

Please can we have cell borders? Our grid sheets look like someone went mad with colored backgrounds because that's the only way we can separate sections of trackers - same with column width/row height that can be adjusted in Excel to emphasize some information or group other bits of info together. This is THE major drawback to Smartsheet. Please add this feature!
Cannot plus one this enough. This is dead simple - is that why it never seems to get prioritized?

I appreciate the fact that we can highlight data in a table on a dashboard by formatting the text (bold, different color, etc.) but I would really love it if we could add boarders to a specific cell or range to further draw attention to the data within that cell or range.
In the Resource Management Plan Settings in Control Center, there is no way to link the Client and Project Code fields even though they are not Custom fields and part of the first 3 fields you enter when creating a new project. I can't select them in the Custom Resource Management Information Fields because they are notā¦

I rely heavily on Smartsheetās Document Generation. However, this workflow is currently dependent on having photos stored inside cells, since row attachments alone cannot be used directly in document generation.. If Smartsheet allowed attachments to be displayed as thumbnails in cells (as a reference), document generationā¦
