NETDAYS Formula
I cannot for the life of me figure out why the NETDAYS formula is not working for me.
Let's say I have my start date as 6/30/17 in cell 6 under column 2 and that my finish date as 7/26/17 is in cell 6 under column 4.
I select the appropriate cells for start_date and finish_date and my formula reads =NETDAYS([Column2]6,[Column4]6)
The return is #INVALID DATA TYPE.

Make sure the columns you are pulling from are set as "Date" column type. Also, there may be issues if you are referencing a linked date cell. Linked Date cells do not seem to calculate as dates even though they are linked from a Date Column and are in a Date Column. This appears to be a bug - If that is your issue. Please report it.

Ah, I was looking to see if I could format just the cells as dates, didn't know it had to be done at the column. Thank you for your wisdom.

Sure thing. Check out this post which details the various formulas available in Smartsheets and each of their requirements: https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/775363-using-formulas#netdays
Also, this posts highlighting the formula errors is really good for troubleshooting errors you get in Smartsheets. https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/2476176-formula-error-messages
I keep both of these links handy.
