Automation Alert: Sends Duplicate over the Weekends
Hello Smartsheet Peeps!
I have an automation set to alert specific people when a form is filled out. The automation is set for every day starting at 3 pm for forms that are dated for today's date.
This works fine except on the weekends, it sends out the forms that were filled out on Friday (sent first on Friday, then Saturday, and again on Sunday), so this is sent triplicate when obviously the date of the form is not = Today!
Can someone tell me how to fix this?
The column noted in the automation (see screen shot), ZZ Today's forms is suppose to flag the forms that are completed today.
=IF(Date@row=Today(),1,0) Puts a star in the col if date is today.
The Date column is populated in a form by the user.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance,

Hi @Sticktotheplan (love the name!)
If I'm understanding correctly, the date column is populated with a date that you can use in automation (it is formatted as a date). I think you can use that date to trigger your automation instead of a formula (if I understand your sheet correctly).
Using the TODAY() function can cause problems, please see help article below. We can work around this if what I suggested above does not solve your problem.

Thanks for the advice. I did change the automation to look at the date column.
And this last weekend I did not receive duplicates. I think it is now fixed! Thanks for the advice. It worked
