PowerBi Question - Hidden "Helper" Columns



I use helper columns in my compliance sheets that are used to trigger notifications when action is needed. Normally, as a best practice, those columns are hidden since they are not needed by the business.

I need to create a centralized dashboard for my department and will be pulling in data from different data sources and PowerBi is the best platform. Columns that are hidden can put be pulled in. Are there any suggestions on how to tackle this?
