We are temporarily deprecating wildcard searches in Smartsheet global search

Hi Community,

We wanted to give you a heads up that we are temporarily deprecating the wildcard capability in all searches for the public API, web app, desktop app, and mobile app. We will be doing this for all Smartsheet global searches effective immediately. We're doing this to maintain stability of the platform and ensure that search stays available for all users at all times.

When will wildcard search capability be active again? Is there any workaround if we need to search and do not know exact search criteria?

Adam, We're unsure at this time - we truly have no idea and it may not ever be active again. Currently no functionality exists that mimics wildcard search
