Smartsheet Forms copy of form submission

Hi there,

Is there a way to remove the forms email address when the submitter requests a copy of form submission? I know they implemented the custom message in automations to allow send from my organization and I was wondering if there was an option for this in forms or a work around?

Hi @Kendra P,

I was asked to do something similar as my employer did not want the forms email address. As I could not see a way to do this, I did the following.

1. I added a new checkbox column to the sheet called Email Notification and added this to the form.
2. I disabled the ability for the user to click the Smartsheet option to notify the user.
3. I created an automation which when the new checkbox column was checked, it emailed the user a notification to say the form submission was successful.

I am not sure if there is a better way, but this did the job for me as you are able to amend the address a notification is sent from.
