I can't seem to get the labels for my horizontal axis to appear.
Initially they show up but once I select the columns that I want in my chart, they vanish. Please tell me what I am doing wrong...π£
Thank you!π€©

Hi @YPhifer
If you're selecting specific columns, you'll need to ensure you're selecting the column that contains the labels as well as the ones that have the values. You may also need to select the option that says "Use first column as series labels".
For example, if this is my test sheet:
Then I select only the Value columns:
But if I select the "Chart Text" column and toggle on the "Use first column as series labels" the label appears again:
Let me know if that helped! π

How do you get the column titles to appear when they are NOT in the first column?
Selecting "use column names as category labels" does not list anything under the chart to identify the column. Selecting "use first column as series labels" selects the wrong definitions.

It would be helpful to see a screen capture of how your Report is set up to help further (identifying what columns you want in the chart), but please block out sensitive data.
Thanks!

Sure! I also tried to complete this after summarizing the columns.

Hi @smartsheetnew
Apologies, I'm not quite sure I understand what it is you're looking to chart. Which one of your columns houses the names per-row for what you're looking to label in the x-axis?If you're using a Report, could you perhaps create a duplicate Report (Save as New) where it only has the columns you need for the Chart, with the x-axis column to the left?

Primary column on the vertical axis and column starting with a U on the horizontal. I cannot get the names of the categories of Column "U" on the horizontal axis to be named. Screenshot from yesterday may be helpful to see how there is no definition listed. I am not able to toggle on "Use first Column as series labels" as the data I am comparing is in the column to the right of that.
Thanks!

Hey @smartsheetnew
Apologies for the delay!
Since the images look like you're using a Report, can you drag the column with the text that you want on the X Axis to be on the left of the Primary column?
