How do you use =AVG() that also bounds time?

So I have the average of a set of data in the (A) column. It looks like this = AVG([A]:[A]). I want to have a range of time here similar to =COUNTIFS([Approval/Disapproval Date]:[Approval/Disapproval Date],, >=TODAY(-365) used to time box the data in a year range.
any one know how to get avg and time in the same formula?

Not exactly sure this is what you are looking for, but you do have the AVERAGEIF function. You can also use =AVG(COLLECT(ADD RANGE AND CRITERIAS HERE))
