Sharepoint Bridge Workflows

I'm a Bridge newbie, and so far I am a huge fan of the Smartsheet to Smartsheet workflows.

I am now investigating the Sharepoint Bridge integration, and the limited information I can find in help articles suggests the only way to pull information from Sharepoint to Smartsheet is from a Sharepoint List. Is that correct, or is there a way to pull information from an Excel document within a Sharepoint folder?

Hi @Julie Fortney! If you're looking to pull information from an Excel sheet in Sharepoint to Smartsheet, using Data Shuttle is probably your best bet!

I'm investigating the Sharepoint integration as an alternative to an API integration that takes 10 minutes. The data needs to update very quickly to make this solution viable. I love Data Shuttle, but the 15-minute schedule is too infrequent.

Julie in general trying to read a file via Bridge is very complicated. MS documentation on Sharepint files does, however, say that files are represented as lists, so it’s possible you could read the file as a list if I’m understanding this correctly:

specifically it talks about using an endpoint to reach a file as a list like:

//{site_url}/_api/web/lists/getbytitle('Documents')/items({item_id})

Then work with the list items using the integration in Bridge or directly using Custom HTTP / API Endpoint steps:
