It would be great if you could use the Sort Row function with a criteria option also.
For Example:
If I had a range of open and closed requests that have different due dates.
Sort rows by "Due Date" with due soonest showing at the top but only the rows where the closed box has not been ticked, the rows that are "closed" would show at the end of all the "open" rows.

You can currently apply up to three Sort criteria. In your case, you would put "Due Date" as your first Sort, then "Closed" as your second sort criteria.
So if my sheet looked like this:
Then I apply the Sort so it looks like this:
Is this request for more than 3 criteria?

Ah sorry, I explained poorly.. Closed/Open in this case is a drop down option in a cell.
Whereas I can do the due-date I am unable to sort by what is said in a cell.

You can sort by a dropdown list as your second option, no problem!
As you can see, there's a small note that says that Dropdown Lists will sort in the list order that you have identified in the column's properties (double click the column). So in my case, I sorted it like above for a result of:

This did help, thank you but its not a "filter" that can be saved - maybe an addition to this suggestion would be the ability to save sort functions?
