Pro Plan and Sharing

My apologies, I did not scroll through the myriad of questions/answers here completely.

I recently upgraded from the free plan to the pro plan, in hopes of developing something that can be shared and used by others in the office. My understanding is that with the pro plan, up to 10 collaborators can be sent sheets, etc. to where they can enter data into the sheets.

I seem to be getting stuck on the sharing of a sheet, and methods of sharing I have used keep directing me to purchasing additional licenses,

What am I doing wrong, and what do I need to do to share as I have noted.

Do your collaborators have paid accounts?

Up to 10 editors (paid license required to edit)

Hey Andree,

Thanks for getting back to me. no they do not have paid accounts. I have figured out a bit of a work around using forms, it's just not ideal

I must say I am a bit disappointed in Smartsheet. Their comment that 10 collaborators..... is a bit misleading.

Thanks again for your input on this, I will stop pulling my hair out.

Hi @Curt K

If your collaborators don't need to edit content, you can share your sheets with them as free users with view-access if that helps. Here's more information: Dashboard widgets and sharing in the Pro plan

You can then send them Update Requests to make edits to a row, or yes, use a Form to have them submit new rows.
