There are some documents that ALWAYS need to be shared with the same team. When I create these documents as templates, the setting for sharing them goes away. I need a template that I can use to create new documents and that automatically includes the entire team so that I don't have to re-share every time, or worse yet, forget to share it, which interrupts our progress.
For some reason that I don't understand, when creating a template from an existing sheet, there is an option to retain the workflow automations. If the documents created by that template that aren't shared with anyone, the workflow automations don't work. I am constantly getting emails saying that "a workflow has become invalid" because the new documents include automated notifications to people with whom the document has not been shared. You can't have automations without document sharing.
