Ability to see Smartsheets side by side

One of the things that I am wishing that I can do is to be able to display two smartsheets side by side with each other, right now I'm only able to present the smartsheet that I am in unless I login to smart in a second instance of explorer and then put the two IE windows side by side.

Has anyone discovered an easy way to do this, or would this be considered a product enhancement?

Thanks

Michele

I use Google Chrome, but I imagine you could do something similar in explorer. I simply duplicate the tab (Right-Click on the Tab and choose Duplicate Tab). and then drag the tab out as a separate window and size them to be side by side.

Then in the second window, I will navigate to the other sheet I want to view. You'll get both Smartsheets side-by-side and both will be editable and saveable.

Have you tried using the cell linking feature, or creating a report from the 2 sheets you want viewable side-by-side?

2 browser windows works for me. What is the use case? Are you trying to make 2 sheets interact in the same window?

I use 3 monitors when home, 2 if traveling by car or the hotel TV is conveniently located close enough to a flat surface where I can work.

I use multiple browsers if working in multiple accounts (which I do often). I nearly had to dust of Opera because I thought I needed a 4th browser for a small period of time.

Is there a reason why the two browser solution does not work?
