Absolutely has to be "Unstoppable" by SIA :) Especially on days where I feel "Stoppable" 😊

  • Stand by Donnie McClurkin

(What do you do) when you've done all you can

And it seems like it's never enough

And what do you say when your friends turn away

    And you're all alone

Tell me what do you give when you've given your all

And it seems like you can't make it through

Well you just stand, when there's nothing left to do

You just stand, watch the Lord see you through

Yes after you've done all you can, you just stand

Tell me how do you handle the guilt of your past

Tell me how do you deal with the shame

And how can you smile while your heart has been broken

And filled with pain filled with pain

Tell me what do you give when you've given your all

And it seems like you can't make it through

Child you just stand when there's nothing left to do

You just stand watch the Lord see you through

Yes after you've done all you can, you just stand

(Stand) and be sure (and be sure)

Be not entangled in that bondage again, you just stand

    (Stand) and endure (and endure)

For God has a purpose yes God has a plan, tell me

(What do you do) When you've done all you can

And it seems like you can't make it through

Child you just...stand (stand) you just stand (stand) stand (stand)

Don't you dare give up (you just)

    Through the storm (stand)

    Stand through the rain (stand)

    Through the hurt (stand)

Yeah through the pain (you just)

Don't you bow (stand) and dont you bend (stand)

Don't give up (stand) no dont give in (you just)

Hold on (stand) , just be strong (stand)

God will step in (stand), it won't be long no no no(you just)

After you've done all you can (after you've done all you can)

After you've done all you can (after you've done all you can)

After you've gone through the hurt (after you've done all you can)

After you've gone through the pain oh my (after you've done all you can)

After you've gone through the storm (after you've done all you can)

After you've gone through the rain (after you've done all you can)

Depends on the topic, but I can usually find something by Pentatonix to put me in the correct frame of mind.

I have a few of their songs on a playlist here: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLzolTySqtD1Iw9W-HycZcr0txBUJGCFfw&feature=shared

  • It all depends on my mood. I have a varied playlist.

Some of my favorites are "Lose Yourself" by Eminem, "Stronger" by Kelly Clarkson, "So What?" by P!nk, and "The Bug" by Mary Chapin Carpenter. There are days that I just throw on Vivaldi's "Four Seasons" as a pick me up!

  • The Superbowl halftime show has Yeah! back up in my playlist. Not safe for work but definitely safe for remote work when you need to feel like a certified 20 on a 10-point scale!

My go to song when I need to be inspired is "Rise Up" by Andra Day. It always gets me into a better mood and helps me feel like I can handle anything. Check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lwgr_IMeEgA

It all depends on what is motivating me, and the mood I am in.

Here are some songs I listen to to get me motivated:

Jay Z: Can't Knock the Hustle

    Nas: NY State of Mind

    Tribe Called Quest: Award Tour

    Sinatra: That's Life

    Santana: Evil Ways

Springsteen: 10th Avenue Freeze-Out (Live Madison Square Garden)

Charles Mingus: Goodbye Pork Pie Hat

Those are just a few to get me motivated

Recently it's been the soundtrack to the film Saltburn ... Those absolute classic bangers making a come back <3

  • This one is too hard! It really depends on what I'm looking for. There are songs that I will ALWAYS turn up - In the Air Tonight - Phil Collins. Songs I CAN'T STOP myself from dancing - Counting Crows Mr. Jones or so many more! Songs to start the day - Walking on Sunshine - Katrina and the Waves, Glory Days - Bruce Springsteen, too many. But my day to day for encouragement during the workday and when I really need encouragement, I have my contemporary Christian stations playing. Not a ton of favs out there today on the radio, I'll find a "oldies" station and listen to some 80's & 90's music and roll the windows down for my very own Carpool karaoke. Sometimes people in other cars will join in when I'm stopped at a light! But for encouragement I look to Him.

  • It has to be Yorktown (The World Turned Upside Down) from Hamilton. Specifically the Hercules Mulligan part... "when you knock me down, I get the **** back up again!"

I have a whole playlist...because let's be real sometimes it takes a village to motivate 😂😎🤩

But my absolute "go-to" is "It's Tricky" by Run DMC...NEVER FAILS!!!
