Does creating a free user account cause conflicts with sheets already shared?



My company has the Enterprise plan. Some users have given access to vendors through the sheet itself. As the admin, I would prefer to give those people free accounts and sent them invitations.

I've received complaints that things aren't working smoothly like "I can't see the sheet I used to see" and "we were editing in real time but I couldn't see his edits".

Has anyone else run into this? My guess is to remove those users and re-add, but is there anything else I can do?

    You can add people with a free account. I can't see the sheet, could most likely be due to a sharing issue. Edits in real time is not visible to anyone now, it is a feature in the product roadmap (not sure of the timeline though). Currently, you can just see that someone is also having the sheet open at the same time.
