Report as a web content widget?

I'm looking to make a report available as a web content widget. However, the only option when publishing the report is "Read Only". I need this report to be interactive right on the dashboard. Is there any other way to accomplish this? A report widget does not allow me to edit the report content on the dashboard.

Not that I've seen. I end up embedding the sheets directly when I can.

I use the web content widget and reports because I think it looks a lot better than the dashboard widget itself. I could also greatly use editable embeddable widgets at some point.

If you create a dynamic view of the report, you can use that URL in your web widget. When setting up dynamic view, you'll want to add to the Details Panel Layout column those fields that need to be editable, and set up their properties in the Field Properties column. When edited in the dashboard, those fields will update in the source document(s).
