Converting MM/YY into MM/DD/YY for date column

I had searched on here a couple times and tried some of what I found, couldn't get it to work.

I have the date imported in MM/YY format as a text column. I'd like to have a date column next to it, with MM/DD/YY, with the DD being the last day of the calendar month.

Am I aiming too high?

Can you schedule reminders in Board View?
I'm trying to transition myself to using Board and Table view over Card and Grid view, but haven't been able to figure out how to schedule reminders in Board view. Is there a spot on each task to create a reminder the way there is in Card view that I'm missing? Or is this feature just not available in Board view yet?
