I need to create an app in the eu region

In order to support customers in the eu region I need to create an app in an eu instance to obtain the client_id and secret necessary for oauth.

How do I get a developer sandbox in the eu region?

Here's a list of the features available in the EU Region of Smartsheet:

You can use the API with Smartsheet EU, but you will need to update the base URL - here's more information in the API documentation: https://smartsheet.redoc.ly/#section/Smartsheet-Regions-Europe

However in order to set up the Developer Sandbox Account in the EU instance, you will need to reach out to Smartsheet Support directly to have this activated for you.

The eu region is essentially treated as a completely separate program. It has its own licensing and everything.

Thanks Paul. Do you know where I can find any details of what is available in the EU? Surely it would be in SmartSheet's interests to support EU customers in a similar way to US. I have read that that developer sandbox's are available, just that they have to be set up manually.

Thanks Genevieve. It's creating the App (oauth client) in eu region that requires the eu sandbox.

I have raised a ticket, this is with smartsheet.com, is there eu specific help?

Yes, the EU Sandbox request can go through Support, then. 🙂

The Support Portal has a separate login for EU Smartsheet:

However as long as you specified that you're looking for an EU Developer Account it should be routed to the correct team.
