Assigned to column with avatar only setting

Hi! The assigned to column works well, and I like seeing everyone's name. However, it would be very helpful to have a "quick indicator" nearer to the project name as to who is assigned this task (or to update the column without scrolling over to the assigned to column). It would be nice to be able to choose an "avatar only" setting in the contacts, rather than just the contact list option.
