Assign multiple placeholders or a combination of named people and placeholders to a row

For sheets connected to Resource Management I want to be able to assign a combination of named people and placeholders or multiple Placeholders per row.
I am using Resource Management with Smartsheet to track people and equipment assigned to tasks. Both the people and equipment are 'managed resources' in Resource Management. I therefore have multiple named resources assigned to a row in Smartsheet. I want to be able to use placeholders to show where we need to assign people and equipment to upcoming tasks but currently I can only assign one placeholder (person or equipment) per task. This means i can't use placeholders to give visibility of what resource (people and equipment) will be required in the coming months.

Came here to specifically request this! Its a pain to have to break down named resources on one row for a task and then a separate line for each placeholder. We need to use placeholders for future resource planning - where we know we need a resource but not sure whom. e.g. for a business wide UAT activity that means creating a separate line for each business unit (placeholder).

Thought I had a solution for my project optimization and capacity planning until I found out I could only have one type of resource assigned. Unfortunately back to square one... Keep running into these roadblocks with trying to make use of Smartsheet!
