As an Admin I can't add columns but can do conditional formatting and formula column conversion
Hello everyone,
My boss gave me Admin permissions on a sheet in order to amend some columns. I noticed that as an Admin I can have access to some Admin functionalities (like converting a cell to a formula column or amending the conditional formatting) that were precluded to me as an Editor, but I am not able to add columns or amend their properties (they are greyed out)… could you please help me?

Admin functionality differs from licensed and unlicensed users. Most likely you'll need a license to do what you are trying to do. Thanks!

It sounds like you are an unlicensed admin. Can you confirm? The easiest way to tell is if can see a green "upgrade" or "do more for free" button on the upper left, then you don't have a license.
Thanks,
Matt

Hi @Matt Johnson,
Thank you for your prompt answer. Yes it's correct, I don't have a license but I am the Admin of the sheet. My boss as the owner is able to amend columns and is unlicensed as well… do I need to have a license to amend columns as admin (even if I have been unlocked other admin functionalities)? -

Dear @Matt Johnson,
Thank you! I actually solved it by activating the 30-day trial version.
