Dashboard Visual Help - Display visual for goal progress

I need help in thinking through how to display on a dashboard a visual that shows how far we have progressed towards our goal. Almost like a starting line, a place showing where we're at, and then how far we're at. I almost think of an odometer when I think of what I'm looking for.

This would likely need to be driven off of my project plan, which has the below columns:

The Schedule Health column is based off of the end date and % complete columns, and shows red, yellow, or green, depending.

Does anyone know what kind of visual I should implement to show progression towards our goal, and what I should use to pull that in?

They would not be date type columns. You can pull and run it directly from the % Complete in the top parent row.

Current Progress is equal to % Complete.

Remaining Progress is 1 - % Complete.

You could set up a sheet that has two columns. One will have "Current Progress" and the other will have "Remaining". Then you could use a stacked bar or column chart that will essentially fill up as progress is made.

Hmm….would the current progress and remaining need to be date columns? or are there other ways to chart?

Also, do you know of a way that i could create a separate sheet with the current progress and remaining columns but it is automatically populated from my project plan? the project plan could get pretty lengthy

Another question for you - could I set it up to separate progress by product (in the same chart as above)? Here's an example of the product parent rows that are rolled up in my project plan. The % complete should roll up to each product.
