(Grid View) Cell and Column Data Validation Rules

What if we could add required value and data validation rules to any text/number columns. This could be to enforce either blank or a value matching the formatting, but would help with data validation across the board.

My use case, in particular, is that I pull in data from Smartsheet to a data model and data visualization solution, and when even the slightest incorrect value (i.e. adding a symbol in a percentage column) is entered, it causes the whole model to pause due to categorization and cleaning rules. Some of this can be fixed in data cleaning on my end, but since most of it is human manual input, adding data validation and requirements would prevent more invalid values from surfacing.
