Collecting time range in form

I'm creating a form to collect the days and times that employees will be out of the office so that I can get the info onto a dashboard for the team to refer back to. Since Smartsheet doesn't have time fields for forms the best workaround I could find was using dropdown fields with half hour time segments and have one field for start time and another for end time.

Trying to set this up such that an employee who will be out for a week can choose the dates for their absence and someone who will need to leave early for an appointment will be able to report the hours that they'll be out. Then summarizing the info on a dashboard as a calendar and/or table format for the team to refer to.

Any tips on finagling this workaround in Smartsheet?

Any other known workarounds for this?

Hello @SW8335 , i would suggest that the people can simple type a text like 08:34 then you can use the Time formular to convert. We did build a vacation request solution int he past including approval workflows if thiws might be interesting contact me.
